History
Ascent was founded with the goal of bridging the growth gaps between early-stage companies and larger enterprises. Prior to starting Ascent, Eric Greenberg ran Leveraged Finance for Goldman Sachs in Asia ex-Japan and was responsible for raising billions of dollars in buy-outs and pre-IPO financings.
As an active private and venture investor in his spare time, Eric was interested in bringing 'big firm' expertise and connections to high growth private companies. With this objective in mind, he set about building an advisor and stakeholder network capable of supporting his ambition and assembling a team of like-minded, proven partners. This team and network ultimately became Ascent.
